| Scabbers is precious and the boss of the household.
If the humans leave clothes lying around, Scabbers finds them and
scents them as hers. Although she is very independent, she is also
very caring about her family and if they are sick will jump on the
bed to remind them to take their medication. If they miss the morning
alarm, she will poke them on time so that they are not late for work. |
| Scabbers had been attacked by another rabbit in a pet store and
had been covered in infected scabs (hence her name). Mom saw her and
the other runt of the litter who had also been attacked and took them
home and got them medical attention. Sadly Scabbers companion Iris
was lost in 2004 to a congenital liver condition. She will not take
to any other rabbits since losing Iris and has a life sized picture
of Iris in her cage on poster board to cuddle. |
| She is very independent but boy does she get
mad if she wants attention and the humans don't realize or notice!
When she really wants attention, she will lift her water dish out
of its metal ring and dump it in her cage. |
| Her family says she is an agoraphobic claustrophobic
rabbit since she doesn't like other rabbits and never likes to leave
her cage but HATES having her door closed and will chew on it until
it is opened again. |
| She is absolutely spoiled and she loves it
that way. When she is stressed her FAVORITE thing to watch is Care
Bears. She gets totally mesmerized as soon as the opening song comes
on and she reacts to the scary parts. Her favorite character in the
Care Bears Movie is the care bear cousin Bright Heart Raccoon. She
even has that stuffy in her cage! |
| She loves raisins and Craisins. She insists she is not fat that
she is fluffy. Its all FLUFF! |
| She insists she hates the other two rabbits
(a bonded pair who have separate run times from Scabbers), BUT if
one of them is sick, she doesn't leave the side of their cage. Mom
actually has to bring a food and water bowl, and a litter box over
to the side of their cage so that Scabbers doesn't have to leave.
She'll stay there 24/7 until they are better. Then she will growl
and try to bite them as usual. If Mom and Dad do anything to the other
rabbits (medicine, vet visits), Scabbers will give them dirty looks
and the bunny tail for days. |
| Her absolute favorite thing to do is to lay down with her feet stretched
WAY out behind her and her head stuck in the food bowl eating while
she rests. Mom and Dad get a real dirty look if there isn't enough
food in the bowl for her to eat and lay down at the same time. |
| Her other constant joy is playing with all
her toys. She does not like her toys disturbed. She stole a stuffed
bunny off Mom's bed and growls if Mom tries to take it back. She never
chews the bunny, just cuddles with it and licks it constantly (Mom
should be so lucky to get a bunny kiss). She has five toys and tosses
them, shakes them, throws them, and digs on them. She never bites
anything besides the other rabbits (who are not Iris). |
